glad so many folks are interested. thought i’d share how i got hip to it. Mark Nowak mentions it in his intro to “When the Smoke Cleared”. lots to digest in that short intro, and entire book really. also his book “Social Poetics” is instructive for poet/writing teachers.
following the 1971 Attica Prison Rebellion, some of the survivors of the state-orchestrated massacre participated in writing workshops. some of their writing, and a bit of historical context, is captured in this book.
also if you responded to the tweet but ain’t dm ya email, please do. changed my settings so it should work now. ima continue sendin it as long as folks are interested. prolly won’t send another blast to everybody until the morning but feel free to keep droppin ya emails in my dm.
