It’s weird seeing two companies with new “good genes” ads after warning for years about the increasing renormalization of eugenics. They wouldn’t have risked profit loss if they didn’t already know the masses would accept it. Do you understand you likely helped us get here?.

Without Medicaid funding, hospitals are going to ask insurance companies for higher payouts which will increase the cost of insurance. Without Medicaid funding, rural hospitals will close. Just because you don’t have Medicaid doesn’t mean you didn’t also lose access to healthcare.

Republicans have been wanting to gut Medicaid for years but in the past they didn’t have the support in part because they feared their constituents would riot but society’s response to the pandemic showed them that they can now gut Medicaid and we won’t riot.

It was possible for Republicans to gut Medicaid because Biden’s response to covid normalized the preventable deaths of disabled people & elderly people. As someone whose Medicaid pays for immunosuppressants to keep me alive, I’m the opposite of shocked that this is where we’re at.
