Ha! The irony indeed. They did though want you in 1986 as the Vindaloo tour with Ted and Fuzzbox got underway. A bostin set it was too! £17 a ticket for the festival…now those were the days..

That Glastonbury has become a load of middle-class reactionary tosh, in the main. Part of the social scene like Henley and Ascot for celebrities. Thank goodness I went when it meant something. Including 1986 - The Nightingales, Fuzz Box, Ted Chippington... (Vindaloo package?)

Having missed you first time round my first Nightingales gig was seeing you first act of the day on the John Peel stage to me my mate and about 10 people- it was fantastic. Have seen you many times since but not been back to Glastonbury since them

I think they only wanted mediocre this year. On a different point, certainly, seemingly, less 'white-rock-bands than in previous times. Some of which are mediocre, but others aren't - just like other acts.
