Happy to have gotten this paper out from my PhD! 🤓 An interesting story where we show marginal zone B cells produce natural anti-FVIII IgM in mice. We ultimately compare this to the human natural anti-FVIII antibody pool and make insights into what has already been shown.
NEW: 🐭 marginal zone B cells produce natural anti-FVIII IgM that coats IV-administered FVIII! Interestingly, ALL human donors low levels of natural anti-FVIII IgM, IgG, and/or IgA & only some have 📈in FVIII-reactive IgG! 👀 https://t.co/FAUtXPCoic

Great job @MengdiGuo1 and colleagues uncovering a mechanism of #CD4 T cell differentiation and dysfunction in the lymph node that impedes tumor control. Important implications for #immunotherapy. @CellReports @UHN @pmcancercentre @uoftmedicine

Michael is the godfather of viral pathogenesis and the reason so many labs have been able to use LCMV (and other viruses) for fundamental discoveries. He was an inspiration and giant in the field. I will be forever grateful to the advice he gave me early in my career. RIP MBAO
The Scripps Research community mourns the passing of Michael Oldstone, MD, esteemed virologist and professor emeritus, who helped establish the viral pathogenesis field and shaped our understanding of host immune responses https://t.co/v21IUqSVii

Happy to have had the opportunity to present my PhD work on the gut microbiome and #FVIII inhibitor development at #ISTH2023. Glad to hear the interest in this field and the clinical trials that are in the works because of it. Thanks for having me @isth ⭐️ @DavidLillicrap

It felt pretty great to walk across the stage for convocation infront of 3 important people who helped me throughout my entire journey. I owe them, @DavidLillicrap, and many others for the support they have provided me. P.S. no one told me to tuck my large ears into my hat 😤

Who would have thought platelets are pseudo-immune cells 🤔 #CSI2023
Another great talk from @DrKoupenova on how platelets interact with viruses and what are the implications in disease state.

In the #CSI2023 mechanosensing session, @leukomotion showed the COOLEST videos showing mechanisms of immune cell migration. I have never seen this level of detail before. Not a bad way to make an impact your first time in Canada!! 🇨🇦
