Well, the cat is out of the bag! We produced one of the @HoYoFair_0 MVs together with @OtakuVs on the lovely music of @splendiferachie and @ZachHeyde!! We gave our best effort to teleport you into a world of purple intrigue featuring the Honkai Star Rail cast! See you there!
Per Park Management Regulations, please review the official attraction line-up before entering Chimerric Park. It’s big. It’s loud. It’s mildly concerning. Have fun (and maybe run) :)

Music composer @ZachHeyde just put out a very cool video about the process of creating the score for our #MTGEternities sci-fi film. Definitely worth checking out: https://t.co/UIX5rgSY5S

(Just my two cents as someone who puts a lot of effort to preserve the integrity of both sides of my businesses - I know there’s well-intentioned coaches out there who aren’t running scams and genuinely are helping the people they work with.)

But there’s also genuine educators out there who have credentials and enjoy teaching and challenging composers that I think are entitled to create a business around those intersecting passions.

Like any industry driven by emotions/desires, the composing space unfortunately leaves room for exploitation - in assistant jobs, coaching, even in colleges - and it’s really sad to see people taken advantage of because of their vulnerability.

Students also have a responsibility before (and during) coaching to: • Do their research on who they’re working with (e.g. don't buy things impulsively) • Not expect coaching to singlehandedly solve their problems (e.g. assume responsibility for their outcomes)

Engaging in coaching requires a coach to be responsible by: • Staying close to the actual work (e.g. growing their composing career) • Being honest about outcomes they can confidently deliver • Serving their students instead of servicing them (telling them the truth)

Just want to weigh in on this because it’s important to treat this as a layered situation. I think there’s a big difference between coaching because you haven’t been able to accomplish your financial goals vs. coaching in order to leverage your expertise and serve others.
I swear there’s more “composer coaches” now than actual working composers. The sheer amount of ppl selling you vague secondhand “professional” advice to “make it” when they themselves never managed to have a successful career in the field is astounding. It’s a pyramid scheme.

Thanks for always taking chances with me @VenTravis! And for the composers - stop trying to "find work". Go make some friends who love what you love. Work will come naturally and be so much more fulfilling alongside your friends🔥

Here are a few things to do to NOT make it as a music composer. - Stay up late at night, even when waking up early because you think the longer the work, the more you get done - Eat lots of snacks while working because carbs and glucose are pure fuel for your body and don't
