Or, you could just reinstate utility rate caps and stop the practice of economic withholding to artificially inflate prices and increase profits. Or is that going to incur the wrath of UCP corporate overlords?

Riiiight... it's the ratepayer's fault for paying too much money rather than the Alberta government's fault for so spectacularly failing to ensure the rates were reasonable to begin with.

Moving around the bad cards the ucp has dealt us will never yield a better outcome. Our rates suck regardless of the provider and the ucp caused it!

Of course, destroying sustainable energy sources is saving you a ton of money, as is giving you no choice whatsoever to avoid the immense increases in energy costs, right? And it’s all the feds fault, right? And you are advertising this to Ontario to save money, right?
