Neurometeum addresses long-standing challenges in global accumulated precipitation modeling, achieving quality on par with traditional numerical models.

Yandex is the first to deploy short-term precipitation forecasting powered by neural global atmospheric data modeling in a live public service.

Until recently, AI weather technologies similar to Neurometeum — including those developed by Microsoft and Nvidia — had been used primarily in scientific research.

Neurometeum can generate a worldwide forecast within minutes — significantly faster than traditional numerical weather prediction (NWP) methods — while also enhancing overall forecast accuracy.

The neural network now models the global atmosphere as a single unified system to generate short-term precipitation forecasts for millions of users.
