The fact that my only tornado of 2025 happens to be the tornado of a lifetime is pretty wild, still can’t believe I was there for this. So thankful I was.

Here is the unfortunate moment when the Gary tornado directly impacted a farmhouse at violent intensity. Thankfully everyone in the house survived. The jet engine roar is very audible in this video.

Since I started storm chasing in 2017, I’ve always dreamed of witnessing a photogenic, slow-moving stovepipe shapeshifter. 2 days ago this dream finally came to fruition near Gary, SD. This day will live in my memory forever.

I had a little change of heart this morning and decided to go for it. Nearing this rotating storm currently over Delavan, MN

I’d like to chase again today because “never stop chasing”, but I am so drained from getting nothing rewarding this year that I have almost no motivation to go chase it. Knowing that there’s a 90%+ chance of seeing nothing again doesn’t help
