Currently providing heritage planning advice on several of these palatial listed buildings in Eaton Square & Place. Belgravia was developed in the early-19th century by Thomas Cubitt for the Grosvenor Estate. After WWII, many of these houses were converted to apartments.

Had a great day out with my team a few weeks ago. We saw some great buildings in the City of London that my colleagues have provided heritage planning advice and written Heritage Impact Assessments for..

Does anyone have any questions about being a Heritage Advisor in the private sector? I’m happy to give more insight in case anything isn’t clear! (@AshleighMur85 @InsallArch)

Does anyone know the correct terminology for this ‘curly whirly’ feature on the roof? My colleague is describing this as part of a Heritage Impact Assessment and has asked our team - so I thought I’d post it here to see what ye thought!

As one of the main Heritage Advisors to the Crown Estate, I work collaboratively with the Crown and their design teams to develop schemes for buildings along Regent Street; the importance of these buildings is mainly their front elevations, so there is scope for change behind.

Thought I'd (@AshleighMur85) introduce my favourite architect: Robert Adam. I had the pleasure of working on a CMP for Osterley House, an outstanding Grade I-listed building (late-C16th), substantially altered in the late-C18th century by Adam. Do you have a favourite architect?

Yesterday, in a voluntary capacity, I attended an Architectural Conservation Planning Committee meeting of the @IrishGeorgian; who champion historic buildings of significant importance that are threatened by neglect or inappropriate development. See a recent submission below.

IGS has strongly objected to proposed development of nine storey hotel terminating the northern view of Smithfield, comprising protected structures that include the Cobblestone Pub. The letter of objection is viewable on our website at the following link: https://t.co/9MyHsyI0Xv

Can people spot the chimneypieces in the wall? And also the remnants of fireplace flues in the other? The brick chimney stack is only decorative (no fireplaces beneath), helping it to survive in such good condition!

Finalising a Conservation Management Plan (CMP) for Eastbury Manor House, a 16th-century gentry house which survives amid 20th-century public housing. CMPs provide a long-term management strategy for historic assets and sites. For Barking & Dagenham Council.

In a voluntary capacity, I'm involved with @IrishGeorgian. Tonight is a great lecture by Frank Keohane who wrote the Cork volume of the 'Buildings of Ireland’ series; originally an English collection by Nikolaus Pevsner, it's a very important architectural series - check it out!
