Dropping probably the most incredible set of aurora photos I’ve ever produced.
The colors were so vivid and I still cannot believe this happened.
I’m. In. Awe.

Why would anyone record themselves for 6+ hours,
going to hit record 20+ times and pretending to sleep and care of their baby for the internet. 😭😭
This. This. This.
The escape to see nature's wonders pouring onto the timeline the last 24 hours is what social media is made for. Science, citizen science and photography all cohesively together for a once in a lifetime experience.
More of this in all communities please.
Y’all, my feed is filled with scientists, photographers, science enthusiasts, and non-science people alike. How cool is it that at least for a few moments, everyone was sharing in the joy and wonder that is our sky, planet, universe? More of this all the time please!
Oopsie I’m sharing my tornado pic of the day. Make sure to stay tuned to my YouTube channel for a video drop of this Keota Tornado.

Taken at 4:17PM Northeast of Keota IA.
Well, releasing shots for today. Todays been wild and I really can’t believe it. We actually were in front of dominator at one point accidentally as the tornado was about to cross and we waved for them to go for it
Two large tornadoes and many funnels for 2023.

Last night was truly a once in a lifetime aurora event for middle latitudes. It’s so hard to even pick a top four from last night but from the five substorms and many different auroral behaviors, these are my favorite.

UPGRADE. A G3 watch has been issued for tomorrow night due to the impact of a coronal mass ejection impacting our planet. Auroras will be possible in the middle latitudes. If purely a southward BZ component, higher than G3 conditions are possible. I would say this is comparable…
G3 watches posted for multiple CME impacts on December 1st 2023. The shock impact looks to arrive between 6PM-12AM tomorrow. Here is the aurora view line forecast from SWPC regarding tomorrow. You don't wanna miss this if it happens!
WELL. I am genuinely surprised at my new camera but these are the shots that I captured on my 75mm?!
Taken near Poplar Bluff Missouri. As an amateur photog who was free handing, no tripod and auto focusing these turned out WAY BETTER than I thought haha.

I don’t normally share tornado footage but this is probably the best closer range video I’ve seen in the last 6-7 years.
Such raw power, no talking and the camera just pans a whole monster.
Give this a watch.
Last night is gonna inspire the next generation of space weather researchers, aurora chasers and physicists. Seeing the meteorology community come out in crowd to see the auroras was the most inspiring part of last night. I wouldn’t trade this for anything else.

This way me during the eras tour singing the folklore and evermore songs and everyone in the 300s section was sitting on their phones and I thought I might’ve been crazy or sumn.
Meteorologist Chris Wicklund joins the field.
I’m so excited to have graduated Saint Cloud State University with a B.S. in Meteorology.
Thank you to all my friends, family and SCSU Faculty for helping me get to this momentous occasion. 🎉🎉
NWSSanDiego and NWSLosAngeles trying to communicate a tropical storm, flash flood warnings, mudslides, earthquakes and telling the public there won’t be any tsunamis:
Aurora Alert!
We seem to have a couple coronal holes especially on the center disk of the sun which will give us higher solar wind over the next 2-3 days and the potential for more high to mid latitude aurora shows. Weakened magnetic field might amplify these chances. 📸
