Sometimes being my housemate means listening to me having a discussion with my cat calling across the house at each other.

Welp, just over a month between joining a lab space and accidentally drawing a diagram on it with permanent marker. Sorry RMIT.

Recently I have learned the habit of seeing marketing e-mails or newsletters I'm not interested in and just . immediately unsubscribing rather than passively deleting. It's so much easier than I convinced myself it would be. The freedom is intoxicating.

Pssst.Pssst hey.I wrote a story and some people thought it was pretty cool, so they put it in a book with a whole lot of other pretty cool people. You should go and have a look at how you can get a copy!.

Research questions I ask myself way too often: Is this a typo in this article, or a piece of field-specific jargon I am not familiar with?.

Writing this thesis introduction like "It is a truth universally acknowledged, that any person who happens to be looking at this, would want to know the answer to my thesis question (oh God please be interested in my thesis question)".

Realised today that I miss terrible shows that are well structured. Feels like I have watched mostly shows with good ideas, but bad pacing, infodumping, poor setups etc. There's something refreshing about a story with average chars and a basic-at-best plot but a real tension arc.

Ah yes, writing the part of the thesis where I have to have opinions. Opinions, my old nemesis.

As someone studying genre theory at the moment, this thread resonates so much. Great points.

This is an interesting approach to a problem that we've had around for a while but haven't had a concise way to express: The "genre" of role playing game, even fantasy role playing game, even the "genre" of D&D, is (like all taxonomies) too broad to full encompass all play. 🧵.

Hey all! So sorry to bug folks again, but I still need responses for my thesis survey. Reponses and retweets both appreciated! . For a reminder, it's about how different types of books are shelved in stores to cater to different types of readers. Link in the reply 🔽.
