I'd much rather employers put money, employee time, and administrator energy into programs and org practices that work, and about which there is reasonably convincing evidence that they work.

Yes. In NY, universities are required (by the state) to require annual anti-harassment training. I don't know if the content of the training is also mandated, or if universities could meet the state requirements with bystander intervention training.

On the other hand, it's useful to inform sexual harassers they can be shitcanned for being subhuman mopes -- something they may not have taken into account prior to being subhuman mopes

In case anyone is looking for ideas to make these better: While I walk into most trainings already rolling my eyes, I found one SH training valuable. It was about establishing norms/guardrails to prevent unprofessional situations from arising before it gets to a harassment level.
