Day 116. It is possible to use custom fonts and for them to still work great with Dynamic Type. You need to define the default size and use UIFontMetrics to get the scaled font for each one of the styles you'd like to use. #365DaysIOSAccessibility https://t.co/iZ2nEkbT78

If you think pair programming is inefficient, try waiting hours to get your code reviewed & having to context switch between tasks while you wait. And then switch back when you get the feedback & have to rethink your approach because you werenโ€™t discussing it as you wrote it.

Updating the #100DaysOfSwiftUI for iOS 15 is so nice โ€“ย lots of Swift and SwiftUI improvements combine to mean less code, and clearer code too. I've already released updates through to day 28:

I often talk about adding alt text to images, but I never actually talk about what makes good alt text, for people who are unsure. So here's my perspective as a sighted person who sometimes uses a screen reader. Tips for writing alt text for images and gifs:

Xcode tip #2: When building software, itโ€™s important to make sure your app works for *everyone*. One great way to do that is with Xcodeโ€™s environment overrides panel, which lets you adjust Dynamic Type size, accessibility options, and appearance all in one place.

I imagine all the closures and cancellations give people a sense of ominousness. But it's really an amazing act of social solidarity: We're sacrificing so we can give nurses, doctors and hospitals a fighting chance. Start from there and hopefully we can figure out the rest.

Thought I would just write a quick & simple little iCalendar data parser. 80% of my time on it was for timezones & daylight savings :-(
