One year ago today. . . To all my incredible science colleagues, academia pushes infinity in production. However, I’ve been thankful to be forced to slow down this year. I would like to say that none of my papers or proposals ever came to visit, but students did! People>Projects

Congrats to Dr. Savvas Paradeisis-Stathis! An amazing defense featuring some amazing science. Cyanotoxins at the millennial scale. And my wife (Mo) made him a cake simulating one of his core profiles from Lake Waccamaw. @SavvasStathis @AuburnAg @AuburnU

Our @livingdeltas colleague Nga Do led this paper using material flows analysis of N in the Red River Delta of #Vietnam. A 1.6% rise in #fertilizer N use in rice paddy between 2000 and 2020 has led to a 53% increase in surface water N loading.
New publication: Human activity controls #nitrogen loads in a large sub-tropical #delta from 2000 to 2020, by @Suz_McG and others. #redriver #vietnam #sustainablewateruse #agriculture #waterpollution

Last day in the Yucatan was low key. Visit to the museum of the chicxulub crater that killed the dinosaurs, visited the artisan town of Dzityn specializing in woodwork, then to Progresso for one last amazing lunch. What a trip, and what a group. Also, proof I’m 3m tall!!

Another great day. Maya ruins of Ake followed by a trip to Izamal, the yellow city where we climbed another pyramid, ate a traditional lunch ( Tyler’s bday) and visited one of the oldest monasteries in America. Ended the day with another cenote swim. @AuburnAg @AuburnCSES
