There are other trees in London, but this one is the most important. Every year since WWII it is donated by Norway to UK in thanks for the help that the UK gave Norway in WWII and every year it is decorated the same way and unveiled the same way by every Mayor of London since.

Prince George has joined his mother, the Princess of Wales, for his first Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall. Back in May, he accompanied both his parents to a veteran's tea party at Buckingham Palace marking the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
