The California Nebula (NGC 1499) is a large, rich patch of emission in Perseus, its trapezoidal shape resembling the State of California. The Ha, SII and OIII components reveal beautifully in OSC dual-narrowband filters. https://t.co/xArBEkiBEW

How far I’ve come since I began astrophotography last year! Revisiting the California Nebula this fall, I used two narrowband filters on an OSC to gather the SHO data needed for this colourful image.

The #Mengzhou1 (MZ-1) mission next year will be an uncrewed test flight of the LEO-variant Mengzhou spacecraft. It will be launched onboard CZ-10A from WSLS, and is expected to rendezvous and dock with Tiangong's nadir port to verify systems and ferry some cargo.

In the #Shenzhou21 fast rendezvous and docking procedure, the spacecraft will immediately begin its maneuvers to close in with #Tiangong, with the first long-distance guidance phase maneuver scheduled at 00:39 UTC+8.

Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) update! The comet is now just past its peak. There was apparently a small brightness surge peaking on October 24-25th, possibly due to a small forward scattering enhancement. The comet is pretty dusty, so this is entirely plausible.  Peak magnitude was
