Investment in #research to understand #diseasemechanisms is the answer to improve #diagnosis of those with #endometriosis!
Study published by @eshre shows those w #endometriosis have higher use of healthcare resources in 10 years prior to diagnosis + healthcare utilisation increased per year until diagnosis. We MUST address #diagnosticdelay + reduce personal/societal burden

.@minikerri's graphs highlight underfunding in #womenshealth But calculated global burden of #endometriosis is underestimated, potentially leading to even less funding: Letter to @Nature by @KrinaZondervan, @horne_research, et al sets the record straight: https://t.co/F8q7BEKsJR
As mentioned by @Endometriosis, an excellent article & graphs in @nature by @minikerri showing how conditions that affect women more than men garner less funding. How is women's health is still massively underfunded? #reframingendo

There is no one like @MetteNyegaard who can explain #genetics and how the use of combinatory analytics to create networks (akin to star constellations) can identify high risk constellations of genotypes for #endometriosis. Helps understand subtypes and risk prediction #WCE2023
