When I see pro teams doing it right, I have to share it Really digging what I saw from the summer training in all the posts from the @RamsNFL 1. Sprint mechanics 2. Deceleration/curvilinear sprints 3. Frontal plane/rotational work 4. Use of tendo units ⬇️ Check it out

Strength training won’t make your athletes slower. Strength Training Won’t Make Your Athletes Slower. STRENGTH TRAINING WONT MAKE YOUR ATHLETES SLOWER. Not consistently sprinting with max effort will make your athletes slower

Tendinitis is ultimately just exceeding the capacity of your tendons for an extended period of time. It’s like trying to drive 500 miles with 450 miles worth of gas Inactivity just lowers that capacity. Now you’re gonna try to drive 500 miles with 400 miles worth of gas. Load em

Tendons NEED load (bodyweight, dumbbells, kettlebells, barbells, literally any kind of weight). Tendons don't need more ice, tape, rest, massage, needles, bands, straps. Tendon issue? LOAD the tendon.

How to (possibly) pay for a full time strength coach: - Hire as a PE or Health Teacher (praxis certified) - Years “teaching” will determine salary - Have them teach some weightlifting class or a basic health class - 4% of salary per a team will go into a stipend - 1 year contract
