Temperatures will warm up this weekend ahead of a potent cold front. Some areas early next week will struggle to make it out of the 40s for highs. As for lows, inland spots will drop into the low 30s.

Beautiful end to this election day weather wise! It will remain clear this evening, perfect to enjoy viewing of tonight's supermoon! This is the beaver moon which is the biggest and brightest moon of the year! Wind gusts come back up tomorrow so hold on to those hats!

We'll start off mostly cloudy with scattered showers and a few storms this morning. Then we'll have clearing & drying this afternoon. Highs... low 70s. Dry and cool tomorrow for Halloween. Hurricane Melissa will pass just west of Bermuda late tonight.

Expect lots of clouds today with scattered rain showers at times. Breezy, but not as windy as yesterday. More scattered showers tomorrow morning. Then drying weather into the weekend. Melissa is over Cuba this morning moving northeast.

Hurricane Melissa made landfall earlier today as a category 5 storm with maximum sustained winds of 185mph. This makes Melissa the strongest storm to ever hit the island and one of the strongest storms ever recorded in the Atlantic Basin. This storm is not done as it is forecast

A strong coastal storm will bring rain and wind to Hampton Roads tomorrow. Wind gusts along the Outer Banks may reach upwards of 50mph! This will likely lead to more beach erosion and overwash. For coastal Virginia we will be watching high tide for tidal flooding in low-lying

MAJOR tidal flooding possible Sunday afternoon for Hampton Roads as a strong coastal low moves into the region. Northeast wind gusts of 45-55mph will be a possibility allowing for water levels from the ocean and the Chesapeake Bay to increase in some low-lying areas.
