I’m excited for y’all to hear this album I composed for @calm and @BirdsongProject which is coming out on all streaming platforms tomorrow.

As I listened to the calls, I learned to replicate the sounds vocally and began to incorporate those into the album. The final product is a blend of field recordings and vocal recreations of bird songs.

When I was asked to compose a soundbath inspired by the songs of birds, I was outside on my friends porch and a hummingbird flew by as I was wrapping up our first meeting. I took that as a sign and began to research the various calls of hummingbirds.

There’s something so beautiful waking up to the sound of birds.
