Hibernating I would say. $OHM had a period similar to this in May through June 2021 (in similarly bearish / apathetic market conditions) and once the flywheel ignited again the reflexivity of the bonding model drove it higher.

bonding is just the protocol selling the token at a discount and diluting the rest of the holders. It’s not sustainable or good for a project that has a 9 figure treasury

It is worthwhile for holders to bear some (controlled) dilution through bonding to expand the treasury if it leads to greater liquidity and is in the pursuit of a broader protocol goal (i.e. becoming a widely used currency that attracts monetary premium). Only relevant for a few.
