Cool tip to watermark your songs without actually adding something. Flip the phase of both channels on the master file a couple of times in a pattern unique to who you send ot to. Then, if it leaks, compare the leak to your watermark-free bounce and you'll see the pattern.

Extra cool cause ppl won’t know if you’ve watermarked it.

@Virtual_Riot How much water should I add to the mark? Like 1 cup? A gallon?

@Virtual_Riot Everyday I get more and more certain you’re really just a robot. Being an audio technician I never thought I’d see the day a dj knew how phases worked let alone use it to watermark a track

@Virtual_Riot I find it easier to slap several unique fart samples all over the place 😊

@Virtual_Riot @jedwill1999 Wouldn't that create phase cancelation issues when using mono speakers for example?

@Virtual_Riot This is a form of steganography. Film production studios have ways of hiding data in their different departments' working files to track leaks, similar in idea (but not execution) to this

@Virtual_Riot Won't it sound off if one channel gets flipped and the other won't?

@Virtual_Riot That's a neat idea! Should I make a script to automate this? Could select random transients as flip points to avoid artifacts and mass-produce different watermarked versions of the same track.
