Machine triggered breaths followed by Pmus, which defines early trigger. The presence of Pmus during expiratory hold rules-out the entrainment phenomenon (reverse trigger), so the natural pt's rate is just matching the mechanical RR. Next step is to ⬇️mandatory rate.
