Nearly 50 eighth grade students who have been at USchool for 9 or more consecutive years have reached mid-lifer status!. We have enjoyed watching each student’s growth and individual success over the years and look forward to officially honoring them as lifers in just four years.

To celebrate #PiDay, Middle School students measured the circumference & diameter of circles using string, rulers, & calculators to find the value of pi. They learned that it's Albert Einstein's birthday & how pi is an irrational number & the 16th letter in the Greek alphabet.

In Upper School chemistry, students participated in a lab where they turned magnesium into magnesium oxide. To do this, students lit the magnesium on fire, causing it to react with oxygen found in the air as it burned to form magnesium oxide.

The @YES_Institute led interactive presentations on bullying and stereotype prevention with our Middle Schoolers. Facilitators held conversations that promoted conflict resolution, emotional self-regulation, building healthy peer relationships, and inclusive values/beliefs.
