KU has received a $2.4 million federal grant to continue a training program to expand the mental health workforce throughout rural Kansas. The program will prepare 48 students seeking Master of Social Work degrees and support their clinical supervisors.

KU has received a $1.5 million U.S. Office of Indian Education grant for a project with Haskell Indian Nations University to train 15 elementary and middle/secondary education teachers who will go on to teach at Native-serving schools.
