2 weeks from today, we'll be heading off on our final UJC Battlefield tour of the year, to Arnhem to follow the incredible stories, in situ, of the Allied troops as they sought to evade capture after the battle. Booking is closed, but we will try to fit any late applicants in!

We may have mentioned victories against Spain in recent weeks, well, here we go again! Did you know today marks the anniversary 08/08/1588 of the naval battle of Gravelines, where the Spanish Amada was finally defeated in a fierce naval battle.

The funeral of Peter Kent, D-Day Veteran and Club Member, who passed away on 22 June 2025 at the age of 100 years, will be held at noon today, Friday 8th August, at St Aloysius Church, Phoenix Road, Somers Town, London. Rest in Peace Peter, we will miss you. #RoyalNavy #Veterans

It's a consequential day in history if ever there was one, on 4th Aug 1914 the UK entered WWI by declaring war on Germany. The UJC had been open for 7 years by then and was firmly established as the London home for enlisted servicemen, and we are proud to still be that today.
