Next step: moving from priority-setting to implementation and sustainable financing. Aligning budget policies, strengthening inter-agency coordination, and building new partnerships will be key to advancing NDP-2030.

Kyrgyzstan is showing strong economic momentum with 8–9% growth. The new National Development Programme aims to keep growth above 8% — but sustaining it requires strong human capital and more effective use of public resources.

As a key partner of the Doha Summit, UNDP highlighted insights from its global report “Poverty-to-Prosperity Transitions.” The message is clear: fairer income distribution + sustained growth can lift 400M people out of poverty.

Tender: Preparation of the Second Biennial Transparency Report & the Fifth National Communication. These documents will be key elements of 🇰🇬 reporting for the period 1990 to 2025 and will provide updated data on greenhouse gas emissions, adaptation measures, and support needs.

Together with the EU, ADB and GCoM, UNDP is helping cities build strong data systems, plan green infrastructure, assess vulnerabilities and strengthen local capacities — ensuring that climate action is actionable, investable and scalable.

Six cities — Batken, Jalal-Abad, Karakol, Naryn, Talas and Tokmok — have now completed their Climate Action Plans through the Global Covenant of Mayors programme funded by the EU. These plans show how global climate goals translate into local solutions.

Under national leadership and with UNDP’s technical support, #Kyrgyzstan has developed its #NDC 3.0 — a major step forward aligning national ambition with practical action at the local level.

Kyrgyz cities are moving from climate planning to real action. Today, the Ministry of Natural Resources, @UNDP, @ADB_HQ, the @EUinKyrgyzstan and the Global Covenant of Mayors brought partners together for the Cities Climate Action Forum in #Bishkek.

The events were organized with the support of the @undpkg and the @Ulkoministerio project "Strengthening Human Rights Protection and Equal Access to Justice in the Kyrgyz Republic."

Holding such meetings contributes to the implementation of the "Leave No One Behind" principle and the advancement of human rights, social justice, and equal access to justice. This initiative is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and Kyrgyzstan's national priorities.

Civil Society Organizations and Disability Associations will be developed. This document will strengthen coordination, ensure higher-quality and more accessible legal assistance, and create sustainable cooperation mechanisms at the local level.
