If a true libertarian movement does not come out of all this, I don't think there is much hope. But the fight is clearly a generation long; a population that fears self-defense fears self-governance. And no liberty can grow from such a fear. That needs to be changed first.

Kind of reminds me of when they cancelled the Avro Arrow program, and all the best engineers, mathematicians, and precision machinists said fuck it and left the country for better opportunity. Every gov't action lately is deliberate and evil, on purpose.

I get that, but from the perspective of the self-motivated, there is no future here. Remove Trudeau and we've got a chance, but a snapshot of Canada today says that we're two steps from an eternal socialist hellscape.
