@HansMahncke @nytimes So let me get this straight- the FBI took Igor Danchenkos word when it came anonymously through the Steele Dossier, disbelieved him when he recanted, made him a paid CHS anyway, and assumed the Russian intercepts were a Russian ploy. This is fucking mind bending bullshit.

This entire article is mind numbingly dishonest. All of it. Here's just one example: @nytimes equates the fact that the intelligence community illegally spied on a presidential campaign and presidency under false pretenses with Durham chasing down memos from Dutch intelligence.

For months, @ktbenner @adamgoldmanNYT & I have been scrutinizing the Durham investigation into the Russia investigation. It just went online.

@HansMahncke @nytimes You know what all these events had in common- the FBI believing what it wanted to believe.

@TrustIsEarnd @HansMahncke @nytimes Isn't this pretty much what we've learned about FBI/DOJ 'justice' in general? Partisan (or downright corrupt) hacks deciding when to aggressively pursue vs willfully ignore evidence?
