5K for dinner and drinks for 20 in Abu Dhabi seems actually super reasonable and probably less than 100% of NFL Rookie dinners.
I asked @ValtteriBottas about picking up the €5000 bill for the GPDA dinner: "I think it was worth it. In Q1 I got some nice tows from some people on the back straight - so I think it was definitely worth it..."

Why did Valtteri pay for the F1 drivers dinner? Surely it’s a gracious, generous farewell act for a guy who won’t be on the grid next year. But I think manners dictate it’s Max’s turn. Or maybe a Lando/Piastri split. Champions pay!
