Kudos to the AAS and the science societies for supporting science. We all need to write to our representatives and Senators, telling them how important NASA and NSF science is to us and our nation.
AAS & 52 science societies & organizations sent a letter to Congress this morning expressing concern over recent organizational & financial developments at NSF, and urging Congress to exercise its oversight authority to preserve American STEM leadership.

I am so jazzed that I will be able to do this! This will be my first organized bike ride after I move to Pasadena later this month. Very apropos, and thank you @CaltechAstro.
On May 25, we'll help host the Space Ride, a bike ride to 4 major astronomy sites in Pasadena (Caltech, Carnegie, NASA JPL, and Planetary Society). Each stop will have a short presentation about its role in astronomy, and science done there. More info:.
