I'm a doctor, and I'm binge-watching M*A*S*H. Here are some of my favorite episodes, in no particular order:

M*A*S*H, "The Trial of Henry Blake." S 2, Ep 8. This episode got under my skin. If you don't play by the rules, people with petty complaints can destroy your career. Frank Burns often comes off as a buffoon. But in this episode, he is calculating and dangerous.

M*A*S*H "The Life You Save." S 9, Ep 20. A bullet nearly misses Winchester's head, and he goes on a spiritual journey to find out what it's like to die. Episode was like some Fellini film with lots of symbolism (like the pile of garbage that kept collapsing on Father Mulcahy).

M*A*S*H: The Novocaine Mutiny, S 4, Ep 20 Best Frank Burns one-liner: "Unless we each conform, unless we obey orders, unless we follow our leaders blindly, there is no possible way we can remain free."

M*A*S*H "For Want of a Boot" S2 E17. 'For want of a nail the shoe was lost. For want of a shoe the horse was lost....' Probably one of the best written comedy episodes of any television series.

M*A*S*H "Sometimes you hear the bullet" S1 Ep 17. Dr. Henry Blake is often portrayed as a bumbling drunk idiot. But then he drops this line: "There are certain rules about a war. And rule number one is young men die. And rule number two is, doctors can't change rule number one."

M*A*S*H "Life Time" S 8 E 11. Hawkeye sticks his hand into the chest cavity of a wounded soldier to stop a bleeding aorta. Meanwhile they've got 20 minutes to find an aortic graft from a dying soldier who won't die. Even the story line gives me chills.

M*A*S*H "Rally 'Round the Flagg, Boys" S7 E21. CIA man Col Flagg was the best recurring character, and this one is the best of the best.
