@ThisIsAnantha Good piece. But Shankara was not a human being, he was an amsa avatar of Lord Shiva. In-fact all devatas went to Shiva and told him that Buddhism had rendered rituals obsolete, temples were in dilapidated condition, yagnas had stopped and Brahmin priests were starving to death

@ThisIsAnantha When you are talking about Shankara Bhagavatpada, 1. You should never address him as Guy/Man. 2. you are not supposed to say Died. 3. Lame comparisons like Alexander. ... and many flaws in this post.

@ThisIsAnantha Lot of "facts" about Adi Shankara are legends and not yet historically verified. Quite a few legends are based on texts written in the past few centuries about his digvijayas by followers of his mathas. The third party historic references which would have much higher credibility
