rescue staffies make great dogs! yes lots have been mistreated and thus have issues, but just like a human you need to be patient with them and not force them into uncomfortable situations. not ideal for inexperienced owners but can't go wrong otherwise. give one another chance

My parents got our first dog when I was about 5, so '72 or '73. They and I have had dogs ever since, making it 46 years of rescue dogs.

No, think any dog is special. In a way by getting rescued animals one is supporting people who refuse to spay n neuter their animalsThat’s wrong! Only way to make them do it is when they drop off unwanted pets they pay by volunteering so they can see first hand all unwanted pets

Wrong! ULTIMATELY best solution is for every puppy born to be placed by its caring breeder who then offers a lifetime of support. Most dogs end up in rescue because they come from bad breeders. Eliminate bad breeders - eliminate need for rescue. Simple!
