A study notes a staggering 40% of Cdn workers ages 18-24 say their mental health is at the “breaking point.” Really? Could it be that after being mollycoddled all their lives, many are not suffering from mental illness but rather Work Derangement Syndrome?

In 2004 my house was 3x my salary. In 2014 my next house was 4x my salary. Today the same house is 13x... rent for a basement has almost tripled. Meanwhile the cost of everything has jumped. Cannot blame them

You know what happens when you take an animal that's been fed and protected in a zoo for its whole life, and release it into the wild? That's what we're doing to our kids.

The skyrocketing cost of education, rent and inflation have brought unimaginable stress to the youth ill-equipped to deal with it. Segregated into groups and continual conflict pressed upon them challenge their resolve in very early stages of adulthood.

They know they will never make enough to own anything. People need hope, goals, purpose. This country offers none of those things. In fact, they are reminded daily of how battered our economy is after having spent the majority of their lives having fear and ideologies a priority

I agree partly with you David, alot of ppl stay with a job regardless of the abuse they put up with, I've seen this alot in the trades, very negative work environments, high stress, long hours etc. Yes obviously there are ppl who just have no work ethic, I've seen that as well.

The workplace has totally changed. 10yrs ago you left work went home and spent time with your friends or family. Now you work until you have to go home. Pack your laptop and start again when you get home.

Mental health is a serious issue and should not be dismissed as "Work Derangement Syndrome." It's important to prioritize self-care and seek help when needed. Thanks for shedding light on this topic.
