First, how can a security that was actively trading at ~.08 be deemed worthless? It had value, just didn’t have a market. Second, fidelity shows bbbyq shares as “transferred”, not sold or liquidated. They are also listed at the .08, not 0. Where were they transferred?

Under Cede & Co I saw a nebulously large # for "everyone else" and some of my shares. If I wasn't a believer then (was), I am now.

Again you prove the point. Equity is gone. A unit investment trust means creditors own units and receive all liquidating distributions from recoveries like litigation and then they too disappear when everything is paid out. As I’ve said countless times the documents are clear.…

Unit investment trusts- like mutual funds but close ended, expiration dates for investment time period usually 12-24 months.
