2nd Dec (1972) Catholic Patrick Benstead was abducted by a Loyalist gang, who after sadistically torturing him, shot him in the head. A cross had been burned into his back alongside the letters ‘IRA’ and the number ‘4’.

Remembering Big Dan McCann who would have been a big 68 today. Dan , along with his comrades Mairead & Seán , were executed by Crown forces on the 6th March 1988. Happy Heavenly Birthday. 🇮🇪

9th Anniversary of Scobie McParland. In August 1969, when the Loyalists attacked the Clonard area, his friend Fian Geraldo McAuley was executed trying to evacuate families from their burning homes. This had a big impact on Paddy, who then joined the Republican Movement . RIP

Yesterday occurred the Anniversary of Ethna Hughes former Armagh prisoner from Cawnpore Street. She was a very strong inspirational committed Republican activist. A strong enthusiastic feminist , inspirational and dedicated Republican.
