Everton Football club took a bold step of selling 13 players in the summer, spending only 3m on a loan fee and recouping 45m in transfer fees. Over the last 3 years working with PL guidance they have sold a staggering 44 players and lost 220m in sponsorship…

Not really sure where the number of 17 is coming from unless you are counting loaning players out and also players leaving due to contracts expiring…

Ooo Mr Gary O’Neil we love you, owh wolves a great club unlucky club VAR mis treats us, we sell players look at us. Got away with it being promoted when you did and overspending just like we did. We just did it at the wrong time. But well done media darling PE Teacher wolves. Zzz

@JPercyTelegraph
Yeah Wolves and others were forced to sell players all in the name of sustainability, meanwhile Chelsea and others spend with impunity.

Everton in trouble for trying to progress and create more revenue by building a stadium! Net spend for Everton over 5 years is 3rd lowest in league. Look at Everton squad don't think we've got 17 players!

No they didn’t they sold Neves a couple of days before the window for a wildly inflated price to balance the books. They managed the books but let’s not make out like it was bold management

Wolves transfer spending in 21/22 & 22/23 reporting periods: +£120m.
Everton transfer spending in 21/22 & 22/23 reporting periods: Minus £31.9m.
How do these journos sleep at night writing such utter agenda-driven nonsense?

Hahahahaha mendes getting 50 mil for Neves from the Saudis sorted them after some horrendous spending. What a complete load of rubbish this article is

You see, this is responsible club management by Wolves👍
They knew the rules and acted accordingly.
None of the hysterical allegations against the PL, the Sly 6, the Cartel etc etc.
Well done 👍
@TeleFootball
@JPercyTelegraph
And in doing so made themselves uncompetitive and increased the gap between themselves and the cartel by selling their best player to Man City where he never plays but earns £130,000 per week.
@TeleFootball
@JPercyTelegraph
How can you possibly frame this as a positive?!?
So they’re only compliant because they were lucky enough to have the Saudis spend a ridiculous amount for their best player. That doesn’t exactly scream fair play does it.

They ‘sold’ nine players, one of which was a €32m loss on Jimenez, one was breaking even on Nathan Collins and two were for under €2m. GON has done a great job, but a club scrambling over this ludicrous line isn’t ‘bold’ and your headline is factually incorrect, quelle surprise
