Not to mention racist/ xenophobic too. Here are 20$ Chi-Fi IEMs that beat the living daylights out of the garbage that these peope make.

Not to mention the Twitter admin and most of the team are extremely arrogant & rude, terrible to work with, & try to lecture people about the 'Greatness of America' when the tuning of their products does not even match *20$* Chi-Fi product tuning. Way to go.

There's this company 'Periodic Audio'. and these are the kinds of tunings they make. Except Magnesium, which I guess is *ok* in some ways, just have a look that beautiful measurement of Titanium, & even more beautiful measurement of Beryllium. Avoid all of these, just trash

Made this thread today cuz it's the last day of the Headphone Zone sale, I *know* many are gonna get tempted by online content around KZ, so here's your disclaimer- just don't buy. Read this thread for good suggestions.

Headphone Zone has started their 'No Particular Reason' sale. While there are some good deals. Many are old/ outdated, some are plain bad, & some are not even close to being recommendable. This thread will break down the good & bad deals, dealing with the 1K to 10K segment

Zero Blue II: Full Harman.Zero Red: Harman modification .Klean: Thick, warm, sort of V Shaped.May: DSP/ Type C.EW200: Bright. I don't think any of the other sub 5K sets are worth it either, personally. That wraps this up. If anyone asks why they shouldn't buy a KZ, explain them.

Avoid Zenith, ZS10 Pro 2, ZS12 Pro X, Decet, ZA12, DQ6S3, Sonata, AS24 Pro, AS16 Pro X, Symphony, ZAT, Trio, Duo, C12, Hydro. Skip verything except the 3 I mentioned. The alternatives have better sound, better QC, better cables, & no stupid switches to mess up channel balance.

The only one that measures well is the ZVX Pro but I have not tried it, and cannot recommend it due to the trust issues I've mentioned above

Only KZ IEMs to buy:. #1 EDC Pro (Under 700).#2 EDX Pro X (Under 1000).#3 KZ Libra Balanced (At 1200). That's all. Do not buy anything else, especially don't touch the ZSN Pro 2, the ZVX whatever, the Vader series (QC issues), the *entire* CCA brand, and I left out a couple.

3. KZ Saga. While the tuning itself isn't bad. just get literally any other set for better peace of mind. The issues with QC, the cable, channel imbalance, revised 'silent' tunings all of them remain, which makes this a difficult set to recommend regardless of 'ok' tuning

In fact, my own unit developed a broken cable within six months. & then, my boyfriend who has the same set also developed imbalance of over *NINE* decibels between the two channels. The QC is extremely bad, so is the cable, & so is the sound- just avoid this IEM entirely now.

2. KZ ZSN Pro X. This was actually my first IEM which I bought after watching several 'credible' creators. Very weird midrange dip, there are 3K to 5K peaks, overall it's very inconsistent in the treble, & has a *LOT* of QC issues, especially channel imbalance & broken cables.

Now, here's the Harman tuned variant. Not only are the switches useless, the IEM is too thin, and too bright, with unnecessary vocal 'honk' *and* a dip in the midrange. This is the worst way to do Harman, it shouldn't be called Harman at all. Just don't buy.

3. Terrible cables. 4. Many of them develop channel imbalance in one year or so. 5. The tuning switches cause severe channel imbalance in many cases! They hurt the sound overall more than help, & I didn't even get into their issues with 'paid collaborations' yet.

There's a tasteful way to do a bassy IEM, but this, it just messes up male vocals, completely muds the midrange, & makes things sound very very bad. Apart from the tuning, there are several other reasons:.1. KZ's QC. 2. Their reputation for changing tunings ('silent revisions').

The rest? Not so much. I'll start with this one. 1. KZ Castor Pro. We have two variants. One's 'Black' & the other is apparently 'Harman'. & they're both not recommendable. This is the graph of the 'Bass' version. As you can see it is simply a ton of midbass bloat & boom
