Just got $500,000 for the Wellington City Mission’s new night shelter which will be the first ‘wet house’ in Aotearoa. Also got $20,000 for the Wellington Women’s House. Homelessness is a political choice. With strong commitment, we can end homelessness in our City.

Of course Christopher Luxon doesn’t believe in prioritising the needs of people with the largest health inequities and the shortest life expectancies. Because like everything else, National thinks that the health system should run like a business. How’s that going for America?

So, National intend to blatantly ignore how Wellingtonians vote and impose their 20th century ideology on said voters - overturning the outcomes of previous consultations and undoing years of work - all at the tipping point of a climate crisis #LGWM #Wellington #ClimateCrisis

@janthenao @RebeccaJEmm @ScootFoundation @WgtnCC @IonaPannett Yep totally agree. Carpark is owned by Wilson’s but we’re reviewing our rating system and looking at how we can incentivise productive use of under-utilised land like that carpark. I agree re Dixon st full pedestrianisation but we struggled with the laneway access for residents
