Family violence costs the NT more than $600 million every year. To find out the NT Government funding is only going to be an extra $20million over the next 2 years feels like a betrayal. Our lives, the lives of Territory women and children, are worth more than this. #notoviolence.

This has been a tough week for all of us. We remember our friend, honour her memory, and continue to work to make the change so we can stop losing our loved ones to family violence. Stay strong.

The loss of these women, especially our sister R, continues to be felt in our hearts and our communities. We hope these inquiries will shed some light on why women continue to be killed. "All domestic violence-related homicides are preventable homicides.".

We've always said these women are not just numbers. They are our sisters, daughters, mothers, aunties. They are loved and missed and they matter. We continue to be failed by the systems that are meant to protect us. Listen to us and make the change.

And of course, it was also the 6th anniversary of the #UluruStatement. Enjoy the week everyone. Reflect on what has been achieved, but even more, think about what we can do to change the future. #YES.

These policies continue to cause harm and impact us. We continue our work today to remember the strength of our Elders and honour those who were taken. This weekend also marks the start of #ReconciliationWeek , starting yesterday with the anniversary of the 1967 Referendum.

It's been a very busy, and very important few days. This past week marked #NationalSorryDay , where we paused to remember those who were, and still are, removed from their families and communities.

Our kids belong with family. This is at the heart of Tangentyere's Children Safe, Family Together family and kin care model. Ever thought of becoming a kinship carer? Just give us a shout out.

Good data leads to good programs and policy. Flawed data leads to bad programs and policy. It's that simple. Yet we are struggling to get this right. As FDV @MicaelaCronin says, alcohol bans are not going to stop the violence.

We have been saying this for years. To make a long-term difference, to make a real impact on violence, we must have needs-based funding. @LindaBurneyMP @JElliotMP @AmandaRishworth @Malarndirri19

The NT has far higher rates of domestic and family violence than any other jurisdiction. Needs-based funding would make a huge difference to tackling these issues.

It's been a huge couple of days for us and Mparntwe/Alice Springs. We're very happy with support from @AlboMP and @LindaBurneyMP. The extra $ will make a safer community. But long term plans and funding needed to make the big changes. Thanks to all hearing our voices.
