Oh, it looks like if you Google register car in California you get redirected to an unofficial site that charges tons of fees. But if you type in and go there directly, you can pay with no fees at all. California should protect consumers from this.

I never understand why companies make it so difficult to interact with them. @CarlsJr app and rewards sign up silently refuses to make an account on the app or website, and customer support is even more broken, requiring I select a restaurant to even ask a question.

I'm done with McDonald's for a while. They finally ran out of McRib sandwiches, and the regular burgers now seem to have this lingering aftertaste that lasts for hours. Yecch.

I switched to @aboutKP this year and so far they don't answer my calls and the computer claims that I'm not in their system. No matter how many times or different phone numbers I call nothing gets resolved and the hold times are over an hour, half the time it just hangs up on me.
