1/ Covid (@UCSF) Chronicles, Day 101 This week, it felt like we entered a new phase of Covid. In March & April, we had panic, lockdowns, and surges… in certain places. The next phase (May-early June) saw cases & deaths plateau, we began opening up…and the seeds of complacency.

This was a 1TB hard drive in 1937. It was the largest vertical letter file in the world. 4000 SqFt. with over 3000 drawers 10 feet long managed by 20 workers. Access speed was ~3 minutes per KB.

@assembla offered me several options on support calls, eg switching to monthly but always reversed the offer after talking to management. @tinyarrows seems to have experienced wild charges as well.
