Extremely Rare Painting copy of Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaja by the French.
This is based off his original painting made near Golconda by the Dutch, where He is actually much more sturdier.
New and new historical paintings of Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj keep getting discovered.
Original painting which the French copied.
More royal bearing but badly coloured.
One should have the brains to understand how relevant Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaja was, that multiple new copies of his paintings are being found across Europe even to this day and will continue.

All these paintings have Dandpatta. Original one is this Dutch Painting.
Europeans later made many ugly caricature copies in the figure, showing broken hooked noses and large head, disproportionate height, etc.

I happened to visit the Museum at City Palace Jaipur today. Looking at the hugeness of the Swords, the Shutternals & other arms of the Mughals & Persians, I feel the courage & guts of the Marathas should be told to every Indian! They were the highest souls & incarnation of Gods!
