An approximation of the legal and sentimental weight of the ICJ's AO on Climate Change. I argue how the AO moves beyond the State centricity and legal positivism. @AsianSil

The Jabalpur law school where I went to give a lecture has a tradition of presenting the speakers with a painting made by students of their art club instead of giving some bouquet or memento. This beautiful painting is by Pragati Jha, a law student!

Emotionally, psychologically & physically challenging it was to resume the University work at a time a vividly talented batch graduated but beautiful letters, books & evocative messages by the students were my saviour. Overwhelming.

The last 11 months have been overwhelming and onerous, but I stole some time from my kids to write this on #Bandung for #AsianSILVoices, the blog by @AsianSil: https://t.co/tEMDkAyKqg

In the times of MuskyTrump madness, keeping my Sunday sanity intact by reading. @samuelmoyn 's classic "Humane" & @kevinjonheller 's "The illegality of 'Genuine' UHI". Reading them simultaneously and irresistibly! Extraordinary times need extraordinary measures!😎

I’m living in this weird limbo where it is common knowledge at this point among academics that there’s been a plagiarism accusation against Judge Sebutinde at the ICJ, but the broader public has no idea because Western mainstream media has not reported on it

My favourite part of any city is their old ones. Unabashedly raw, organic! One that wakes up early, full of hustle bustle and is full of surprises. Sharing my favourite unfiltered portions of sub-urbs trapped in urban areas of Cawnpore aka Kanpur. Organically yours!

Revisiting this wonderful argument by @makaumutua! In his words, "the Article does not only address the biased&arrogant rhetoric& history of the human rights enterprise, but also graples with the contradictions in the basic nobility and majesty that drive the human rights project"

What makes a case law to be labelled as 'landmark'/ 'celebrated'? Normative value laden judgements, Dworkinian hard cases, Scholarly repititions, classroom popularity or something else? What are the markers and in what proportions? #caselaws
