For any of my writing friends out there in the querying trenches who are dealing with rejection, remember this: You are shopping for a home for your work. A rejection letter is them telling you that you wouldn't like it there. Just assume their bathroom is gross & power forward.

Tried making my own coffee creamer. It's getting there, but it's also making me realize how super sweet the store-bought ones I use are. I may just have to accept them as my writer's vice. Or I could adjust the recipe & stick with homemade. Decisions, decisions. #5amwritersclub

When you need a hat and gloves, but it doesn't reach the $25 minimum for delivery, so you add a package of colored pens to make up the difference. Writers are natural problem-solvers. #5amwritersclub

Happy Wednesday to everyone in the #5amwritersclub. I'm getting a little writing done before I head out into the cold for my morning walk. I'm experimenting with face coverings that won't cause my glasses to fog up. It's not going well.

Saw Zootopia 2 on Sunday. Nice little villain twist. I also found one in Welcome to Derry. I love it when I don't see things coming. Great writing is a joy to experience. #5amwritersclub

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the U.S. It will include cooking, baking, traveling for a lot of people. But whether or not Thanksgiving is your jam, I'm so thankful for this little sliver of X where we writers gather & share our wins & losses. I'm thankful for you. #5amwritersclub
