Our hearts are with everyone affected by the incident in Cambridgeshire. We know how distressing this is. With investigations ongoing and motives unclear, let’s avoid speculation. Let’s stay calm, show kindness, and keep those impacted in our thoughts

This morning the families of Adrian Daulby & Melvin Cravitz should be at the centre of our thoughts. They deserve our love & support. They also deserve active support from the state, shielding from media intrusion &protection from those who seek to use their grief to drive hatred.

Our thoughts remain with all those affected by events in Manchester today. It is important that we wait for the authorities to provide updates and that people respect the victims by not sharing any images or misinformation.

Today marks 20 years since the 7/7 London bombings. We remember the 52 lives lost, the hundreds injured physically and psychologically, and all who were forever impacted. Sending love to everyone. We stand together in solidarity, resilience, and remembrance.

We heard from survivors whose children were told their siblings had died by journalists, of intrusion that left survivors scared. We hope the new guidelines avoid compounding the trauma whilst respecting journalists need to do their important job.

Media reporting of terror attacks is undoubtedly in the public interest, but bad reporting & the volume of inquiries can re-traumatise survivors & the bereaved. Today we publish new media guidelines to help get the balance right.

We have launched a report for the 20th anniversary '7/7 - In Their Words' which demonstrates through stories of people affected by 7/7, why change is necessary so that no future survivor will be left without the care, dignity, and recognition they deserve.
