i think paying attention to what posts make you individually stop scrolling / laugh is the best way to figure out what direction you want to push your account into. there is some truth to that original advice. ppl can totally sense it when you are not in it for love of the game!!

tiktok/twitter is generally very volatile and you blow up via individual posts, instagram is steadier and reels-dominated, and youtube is really odd i don't totally understand their algorithm... sometimes things blow up weeks or months after they get posted there

you should post everyday, and also do collab posts with your friends, and also really narrow down the core of your account to basically just one thing that you do really well! It also helps if you are a yapper and you chat with people (but that has its own consequences...) !!
I wish big artists actually gave useful advices instead of saying “just draw for yourself bro” over and over again😞 Like, why they never tell people that they should post almost everyday? Why don’t they tell people how to utilize trends and how to make your OCs presentable?
