On holiday in NYC, and in Lake Hiawatha in New Jersey visiting family. The earthquake was gentle shaking for 20 seconds, & the worst my uncle has felt in 40-odd years of living here. I can confirm that having a pee during an earthquake is a nervous experience 😂 #earthquakenyc

So tonight is my 40th anniversary of covering #gtfc. And it’s also a chance to say that I’ll be stepping down from commentating onThe Mariners at the end of the season. I’m certainly going to miss it but I feel the time is right to call it a day.

Remember when we’d all try to send a Happy New Year text at midnight but it wouldn’t send for 30 minutes because the networks were overwhelmed? That’s where the current tradition for sending messages early came from. Our kids will never know the struggle
