True. All the rail systems linked with the death camps. Many fascists emigrated out of Italy and other parts of Europe. Destination not known.

On one hand, it is extremely important to publish these kinds of photos and text.
Thanks to that, the Shoa is not something theoretical.
But on the other hand, I really have to puke. Physically and mentally.
Who was capable of doing something like that?

In Grandfather’s photographic shop in the 40/50/60’s in N Shields, people brought their kids for the traditional first photo…just like this one. (I still have the seat they were taken on.) Imagine the love, smiles, joy, hopes of those folk and then think of the Giano family…
